We meet throughout the week in our support groups and spiritual groups to encourage and learn from each other to help those with Sickle Cell Disease and their family to develop a more positive approach in life. These support groups offer people with Sickle Cell Disease a chance to talk about their experiences without the fear of judgement. These groups can greatly improve a client’s outlook on life. Our spiritual support groups aim to give these clients a community that is rooted in Christian beliefs. These groups will function like our other support groups; however, they will also include Bible readings. These groups help our clients to have hope in something that is greater than they are. Our groups also give these clients the opportunity to network. In these groups, our clients are able to meet and talk with a wide range of people
